Inspired by Shohei Hishida’s own residence, the “Belgian House,” this villa brings his architectural ideas into harmony with the natural climate and landscape of Karuizawa. The project also celebrates traditional craftsmanship and building techniques that are gradually disappearing, reinterpreting them in a way that feels calm, refined, and quietly timeless.
